Think About It
"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord."
-Luke 2:11

"Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and he will be called Immanuel (meaning, God is with us)."

A Year in Review

Best New Friendship: The freshman, mainly the flutes. They have made me feel really important and kind of needed in the band. I feel like they look up to me and it’s a nice feeling to know that sometimes. Thanks, girls!

Best Renewed Friendship: Probably either Absera because I hadn’t hung out with her for a long time and now I sit next to her in band and French, plus we are in the same History class… So, I’d have to say Absera.

Best Old Friends: Julia J. because I feel like I’ve really become close with her in the past year. I realize that we have a lot in common and make a really good pair of friends. Plus, she’s way fun to hang out with! :P And I can’t forget Mandi and Mel too.. They are always there for me, so I have to say that Mandi, Mel, and Julz are my best friends. :)

Anthems of 2002:
“Bridge Over Troubled Water” – Simon & Garfunkel
“Be” – Kevin Max
“Alabaster Box” – CeCe Winans
“Every Season” – Nichole Nordeman
“Fat Bottomed Girls” – Queen
“Cheer up Charlie” – From the motion picture Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
“A Thousand Miles” – Vanessa Carlton
“Wonderland” – Kendall Payne
“Everywhere” – Michelle Branch
“Complicated” – Avril Lavigne
“Vincent (Starry Starry Night)” – Josh Groban
“My Will” – DC Talk
“All You Got” – Tait
“Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog” – Three Dog Night
“Tiny Dancer” – Elton John

Most Memorable Moments of 2002:
+ Hawaii 2002 – Spring Break 2002 – Anyone who went on this trip knows that they will never forget it. How can you top a trip to Hawaii without your parents? LoL. All I can say, is I wish it weren’t over, and it went so fast… Good times, good times. :)

+ 15th Birthday 2002 – First, Applebee’s with my pals, then off to see Spider-Man, which came out on the day of my birthday, and then camping with my closest girlfriends, playing pool with the guys at the pool hall, and getting it all on tape. He he.. No body will see that tape! Ever! :)

+ Vacation, Pentawter, MI – Summer 2002 – The vacation was wonderful, getting to spend time with my family, especially my sister, who I rarely see anymore! :) And the beach and campground were beautiful. I can’t wait to go back next summer!

+ Band Camp/Football Season 2002 – Football Season is the most wonderful time of the year for me, I can’t find anything I would rather do than be at a football game or band bus with my best friends. I only wish it could be all year long.

+ Ada Show Choir Festival – Wow, who can explain what it’s like to spend a full 24 hours with your friends and acquaintances and performing for a bunch of people you don’t know? It was a blast, what with the 6 hours spent sleeping on a school bus, the lunch trip, and, most of all getting to see Twinsburg Great Expectations!! Came home with fourth place, while Twinsburg took second... They should have won, in my opinion... But that’s another story... LoL.

+ Homecoming 2002 – October 5, 2002 – Jungle Boogie was the theme, and we were on the scene. A group of 8 girls and 4 guys met at Scott’s house for dinner and pictures... Then off to our enchanted evening at the dance. What a blast we had… Wish I hadn’t spent so much time in the picture line and more time on the dance floor! LoL.

Lessons Learned in 2002:
+ Let it go.. Don’t sweat what you have no control over. I am not always in control, and I must accept that!

+ You will not see people as much as you think after they graduate. They will move on with their lives, but so will you.

+ A boyfriend is not the most important thing in the world to have. Friends are much more important and much more reliable.

+ God is there no matter what. You can always turn to Him, even if you haven’t in a long, long time.

+ Finding God is as simple as looking at the world around you, but that is also the part that makes it so difficult.

+ Showers make for good thinking and are very soothing when you are stressed.

+ Music truly does heal the soul.

+ The football games where it rains and is freezing are the best kind and the ones you will remember all your life.

Happy 2003 everybody!! :) Yay!!! Party @ Mandi's was awesome... :) So good to see the old gang again.. Winter Break has seemed so long but that's been such a good thing. I'll be happy to go back to school, but boy do I enjoy sleeping in, even if it was only about 5 times during the whole break. LoL. :D Happy New Year!

Yeah, so, my computer is not working because my sister and her boyfriend were clearing off the hard drive so it will run, and they didn't finish it last night because they had to go bowling and now they are not home and will not come home to fix it. So, I'm just using her computer. So, whatever. She's not here to do anything about it.

Wrote a new poem today. I'll post it in here now. :D It's called "How Many?" and I'm entering it into a writing contest at the library. Let me know what you think. :D

How many questions do I have to ask
Before I get some answers?
How many roads do I have to travel
Before I find my destination?

How many wars must be fought
Before there is peace?
How much pain must be endured
Before there is comfort?

How many deaths must we cause
Before we give life?
How much will we take
Before we start giving back?
How many?

And how many martyrs will become saints
Before we believe?
How many will we believe
Before we know?

So, whattdya think? :P

OK, so it turns out I won't get my class ring for another 2-3 weeks because it came and I got it but it was too big so they sent it back in to get resized. Ah well.. I guess I can wait a little longer. But I saw it and it's cool! LoL. :D
